Remodeling across the Baltimore area.
We're based at 5812 Gist Ave in northwest Baltimore (21215). Each county has its own permit office and rules; here's where we work and what to know in each.

Baltimore City
Permits through DHCD Permits & Inspections at 417 E. Fayette Street. The City has no permit exemption for small decks or fences, and its 38 local (CHAP) historic districts review exterior work.
Baltimore County
Permits through Permits, Approvals and Inspections (PAI) at 111 W. Chesapeake Avenue in Towson. Decks over 16 inches high or 120 square feet need a permit.
Howard County
Permits through the Department of Inspections, Licenses and Permits (DILP) in Ellicott City. Columbia villages run their own architectural review, separate from the county permit.
Anne Arundel County
Permits through the Permit Center on Riva Road in Annapolis; most new applications are filed online through the Land Use Navigator. Waterfront lots can fall under Chesapeake Bay Critical Area rules.
